24. Mr. Tucket

This is a really good book. My class read it, but I wanted to read it again. It is all about a boy named Francis Tucket. He and his family are traveling to Oregon on a wagon train. Francis has his 14th birthday while they are on the way to Oregon. For his present he gets a small rifle. He falls behind the wagon trian to practice shooting. Pretty soon the wagon train is gone, and Francis doesn't even notice it. Then he gets ambushed by Indians! He is saved by the myserious mountain man, Mr. Grimes, and the two set of together for Oregon. This book had lots of excitement in it and I loved it!
