26. Call Me Francis Tucket

This was a really good book. It is the sequel to Mr. Tucket. Francis is traveling with a wagon train when he sees a herd of buffalo. He disides that he should hunt some for the train, but he has never hunted buffalo before. His mare brings him in close to the buffalo, in the middle of the herd. Francis shoots the gun and causes a stampede. He is caught in the middle of the herd, and he can't get out. When the stampede finally stops, he is lost. He starts heading west. He hasn't gone very far when he finds a diserted wagon. He begins to investigate. Soon he finds that it is not quite diserted. There are two little children in the wagon. One is named Lottie, and one is named Billy. Francis finds a out that their father and them got kicked out of there wagon train because their father was sick. He also finds out that thier father had died and they were all alone out in the wilderness. Francis takes him with him figuring that he can just drop them of on the next wagon train they meet. When they reach a trading post, Francis leaves them there. He soon comes back and takes them with him though. It was a good book.
