This is a retelling of the twelve dancing princesses. It is by Jessica Day George, and it is really good. The princesses have to go and dance every night, and for them, it's a curse. When the king gets tired of having their dancing shoes being worn out every night and not knowing what's going on, he starts a competion. Which ever prince can figure out what is going on will get to marry one of princesses and be the king. But when the soldier Galen becomes a gardener at the palace, he wants to know what is going on to. It was a really good book.
